How do I get rid of a skin rash from Dysport? (Photo)

I got dysport for cosmetic reasons and I had a terrible effect. Droopy eyelids, swollen brows, weakness, etc... And now this terrible rash on the injection sights. I went to a dermatologist that advertised botox, only when I got there he mentioned he didn't carry it, but that Dysport was just as good and more affordable...$400 later and I have this... It did not last 6 weeks despite 100 units... Help please...

Thank you for your question, Nofrown! Typically Dysport lasts around 3-4 months. Slowly you will gain your movement back little by little!

Dysport typically lasts 3-4 months.  It is difficult to determine the longevity of Dysport because of various other factors such as metabolism and activity level.  Discuss your results with your injector for any future treatments you choose to have.  Best Wishes,

33 Units of Dysport for the "11's and some forehead" is a relatively small dose.  On average, patients receive 50-60 units of Dysport for the 11's (glabella) alone.  Contact your injector for an in-person evaluation to discuss your current results and dosing.  Best Wishes,Dr. Aldo Guerra

The amount of Dysport needed to treat the glabella varies from patient to patient, and it can take 3-4 months for the results to diminish.  Over time, you will regain movement in this area, but no one can predict whether that will happen over the next 2 weeks.  It is likely no one else will n...

With any botulinum toxin you should not lie down for 3-4 hours or you can get migration of product which causes a facial droop. Picking something off the floor is fine, it is not sustained lying down. So don't worry. Hope this is helpful. JB

Hi and thanks for your question. Everyday movements will not cause migration of Botox or Dysport. It can take 1-2 weeks to see final results with Botox and Dysport. Hope this helps.
