The amount of Dysport needed to treat the glabella varies from patient to patient, and it can take 3-4 months for the results to diminish. Over time, you will regain movement in this area, but no one can predict whether that will happen over the next 2 weeks. It is likely no one else will notice in person or in wedding photos. Communicate your experience with your injector at your next visit. You may require a lower dose of Dysport. Best Wishes,Dr. Aldo Guerra
A typical dose for the glabella area with Dysport is 40-75 units so you were dosed on "the lighter side". Some people have a stronger response to neuromodulators than others and is not necessarily related to your petite stature. The effects from the treatment will gradually resolve over three to four months in general.
Thank you for your question. On Average Dysport results last 3-6 months and a typical dose for the glabella region is 60 units. Over time, you will start to regain movement in the treated area, but no one can predict whether that will happen over the next 2 weeks. I recommend having a follow up with your injector for an evaluation and to discuss any concerns you may have. Best of Luck!
I typically recommend 48-72 units of Dysport when treating the frown lines. You had a relatively small amount of Dysport. Dysport effect takes 3-4 months to wear off although given your lower dose you should see the Dysport wear off sooner. However, I don't think anyone can predict if your Dysport will wear off in 2 weeks.
The glabella can take anywhere between 40-60 units of Dysport. There is nothing but time that can get your movement back after getting neuromodulator injections. If this is your first time getting injections then it may take some time to get used to but no one will know you had it unless you tell them.
The amount of Dysport needed to treat a glabella (frown line) does vary from person to person, and if you are petite you might need less, although there is no guarantee of that. The recommended dose is 50 units, but I think you might be referring to "Botox units", which are different, and 50 Dysport units is roughly equivalent to 17 Botox units. I regularly use 72 Dysport units (or 24 "Botox units") to treat frown lines, but for some people that might be too much. At this point there is nothing you can do but wait it out, and next time you could use less. Usually being "frozen" here looks fine, though, and should not ruin your wedding or your wedding pictures. It is likely that you are the only one who will notice it, so please relax and enjoy your wedding. Congratulations!
The risk is low that your Dysport would have migrated from momentarily bending to pick up something. The recommendation is more directed at prolonged actions versus a momentary one. You can see final results from your treatment two weeks after injection.
Subtle movement of the head would not cause the Dysport to migrate. The recommendation is directed more toward laying down within the first four hours after injections, or working out, etc. See your injector for other post treatment instructions.
Dysport or other neuromodulator results last for approximately three to four months. Filler treatments will vary depending on the type of filler used. They can vary from six months to two years. These are just approximate time frames. You can return for more product when you feel your...
