How can I correct my extremely asymmetrical eyes? (photo)

My eyes are extremely asymmetrical. I realise that some asymmetry is normal, but mine are quite noticeably different. What, if anything, can be done to make them more symmetrical?

However, it is actually extremely subtle asymmetry.  What you really need is a very detailed assessment of what makes you asymmetric.  Just looking at the photo, it appears that you have right upper eyelid ptosis with a compensatory right brow elevation.  What one cannot tell from the photos is if you actually have bilateral ptosis that is more marked on the right side.  Sometimes the answer is bilateral upper eyelid ptosis surgery. You also have a mild facial asymmetry with the right eye sitting higher in the face than the left eye. Blepharoplasty will not correct this without addressing the upper eyelid ptosis.  Less is more.  And yes, just learning to ignore the issue, perhaps you can avoid surgery altogether.

It is possible to improve eyelid symmetry by either lifting the one eyelid slightly or removing some skin in the other. However, a consultation would be necessary to see what option if any would be the best for you.

Thank you for your question.I would agree with Dr. Steinsapir that the difference between your eyes is very subtle. We all have subtle and at times more noticeable facial asymmetries. Think about how celebrities want to be photographed on their "good sides." Subtle asymmetries are not necessarily a negative. They can add a special allure to the face. =You can many examples among models, movie stars, and subjects of classic paintings.You may have a mild drooping of the right eyelid, which is called ptosis. I would recommend you seek an opinion from either a board certified plastic surgeon or ophthalmologist who have expertise in "oculoplastic surgery." Correcting ptosis is not the same as a cosmetic blepharoplasty.
