Based on your photos, it looks as if your best bet is going to be the PicoSure laser. It's currently the best on the market working 3x faster than all other lasers. It's also ideal for all skin types and tattoo colors. I would try to find a practitioner that has the PicoSure device and schedule a consultation. Without a doubt the Picosure laser would be the best technology to remove your tattoo. The older generation nanosecond lasers require an average of 15 treatments with a 5% risk of scar. The more advanced Picosure can remove your laser in half the number of treatments with a less than 1% risk of color and texture change in the treated area.
A picosecond laser is going to end up giving you the best result. A laser with more wavelengths is going to give you a better result as you can treat a variety of colors. Blacks and reds would be best treated with 1064 and 532 nm wavelengths. Green is covered in the 700 nm wavelength range. With time the tattoo would be able to be removed. Picosecond lasers will provide a quicker resolution to the tattoo though in my experience.
It may affect how much you bruise. If you have not yet had your PicoSure treatment then I would advise you to avoid alcohol for a least 2 days prior to treatment. If you've already had it, I guess you'll see whether or not it bothers you. My best, Dr. Sheila Nazarian @drsheilanazarian on...
I would wait a couple of days before returning to strenuous exercise. Then, as long as there's not blistering and/or open areas, you should be fine. Just keep the area covered and clean. My best, Dr. Sheila Nazarian @drsheilanazarian on Instagram
From what we've found in our office, PicoSure treatments are best at 6 weeks apart. Some may heal very well and be able to get them slightly closer together, or have to wait longer.
