Each company that has pico second technologies has different wavelengths that allow the device to treat different colors. The picosecond technology is just a faster delivery of laser energy so that the skin type is less suseptable to injury. Please see a cosmetic dermatologist who specializes in lasers and they can tell you which device is best for your tattoo or other condition. Best, Dr. Emer.
The PicoWay has the greatest power and the shortest "Pico" pulse duration to destroy the ink particles into smaller particles as compared to Q Switched lasers and other Pico laser devices. There is less pain and fewer treatments are necessary with this advancement in laser tattoo removal technology.
The Picosure laser was the first pico second laser on the market. It has the ability to treat difficult colors like blue and green as well as black because it has a wavelength (755) that is absorbed by those colors. Because of its power and the speed of the pulse it breaks the ink into smaller fragments than other lasers and thus allows for faster clearing of the tattoo. The Picoway laser is also a faster pulse laser but is the same wavelength (1064) as other current lasers on the market. When compared to other 1064 lasers it will most likely clear black ink faster, but won't do as good with other ink colors as the 755 Picosure.
