I'm 40 years old. I had three tattoos that were 23 years old, done in different tattoo shops with different ink. The butterfly was on the inside ankle, the moon near the bikini line and the rose on the chest! I'm thrilled with the fading after only 24 hours & can't wait to see what they look like by my second treatment in mid March! I will update pics and info as things progress. The price was comparable to an old fashioned lasers but Dr. Carr is a real dermatologist - not some tattoo removal clinic! It was so hard for me to find a location near Houston that had a PicoSure! It's still early - but at this point I think I'll be thrilled!!! Updated on 23 Aug 2015: I've completed 4 treatments with Dr. Carr & I'm scheduled for the 5th in a couple weeks. I'm happy with the progress. The butterfly on the ankle and the moon at bikini area will be totally gone!!! The rose on the chest is hanging on a little longer! The end is near!!! HAPPY
I decided to get botox as a preventative. I'm 33, fair skin, but have been careful about sun exposure since my 20's. I don't have much in the way of wrinkles, but would like to avoid them as well. Of course, the dreaded 11's is the place I know they'll show up first, so I decided to "nip it in the bud". The process was super easy, and didn't hurt at all. I was injected in 5 places. On the bridge of my nose, on the upper inner corners of my eye brows, and a little further out from the upper corners. It's been 48 hours, and so far I can't really tell any difference. I was told it will take up to six days for full results and smoothness. Updated on 8 Mar 2014: Updated on 8 Mar 2014:
So i go to her for my acne and acne scar treatment. (im a teen guy so these are my years when acne is at an all time high). I go in one day and talk to her about it and she puts me on antibiotics. (which is normal) then I ask her about another scar on my face and told her it hasnt gone away after a year and she says "oh it will, dont worry" i realized, from a few other dermatologists afterwards that its called a hypertrophic scar, and they dont just "go away". So i come in a few weeks later for a chemical peel. and while i have a few pimples on my face, her assistant literally pokes them with a needle to pop them. even if they were cystic acne. What dermatologist POPS your pimples and squeezes them? arent dermatologists supposed to be the people that tell you NOT to do this? She even pokes my hypertrophic scar (I learned after from the other dermatologist youre not supposed to poke them or pop them). the pain was so excruciating. The chemical in the peel didnt do jack for me and only made my scars worse because of all the popping she did. dont trust her she only wants your money and doesnt give a rats butt about you. Worst doctor ever award!
Hydroquinone will not lighten the ink of an eyebrow tattoo. However, removing the tattoo with the Picosure laser is an option. Depending on the ink used to pigment the brow a test pulse of the Picosure will tell the physician if it is safe to remove your tattoo. Removing or even lightening the tattoo would allow a skilled permanent make-up technician to correct a previous undesirable result. All the best, Dr Carr
Tattoo regret can certainly occur for many reasons but fortunately the new picosecond lasers can help in their removal. The PicoSure laser can remove even red pigment in half the number of treatments of the older generation lasers with very low risk of scar. Laser tattoo removal, even with the picosecond systems, is a process and will require multiple treatments. However, the results will be worth your trouble!
Without a doubt the Picosure laser would be the best technology to remove your tattoo. The older generation nanosecond lasers require an average of 15 treatments with a 5% risk of scar. The more advanced Picosure can remove your laser in half the number of treatments with a less than 1% risk of color and texture change in the treated area.
Whenever you get tired of a tattoo, or regret it in the first place, tattoo laser removal has become much more effective than in years gone by. With the new picosecond technology even large darkly pigmented tattoos can be removed in fewer sessions with minimal risk of scar. The Picosure laser is great at all colors, green, black, blue, red, yellow. Find a dermatologist in your area that offers Picosure tattoo laser treatments. Get a consultation and plan to say good-bye to your half-sleeve!
Removing the tattoo with laser tattoo removal, preferably the newest generation laser Picosure, will not have an impact on the existing scar. Scars tend to mature over time and lose their bright red color. The width of the scar will not change.
