Is it safer and better to have both upper and lower eyelids done at the same time?

If you need both upper and lower blepharoplasty, it would be preferable to do them at the same time because you will only have one recovery period to go through and it may also lower the expense of surgery. However, if you don't yet need one of these procedures, it is perfectly fine to wait and have it at another time. I hope this helps.

It is equally safe to have upper and lower blepharoplasty together or separately. However, it is much easier to have them together since patient will go through one surgery and recovery process rather than twice.

Hello.  If you are a candidate for upper and lower blepharoplasties, I don't see a problem with doing everything in one setting.  If you're thinking of improving both upper and lower eyelids, might as well have one recovery vs. two.  However, upper & lower blepharoplasties can be safely done under local anesthesia and staging them is a reasonable option if you desire.  It's best to find a board certified surgeon with experience in blepharoplasties for a good in office exam and discussion of your concerns.  Good luck.
