Good day! Yes, more than 80% of the people here on RealSelf that had a lip lift says it was worth it. Ask your doctor about corner lift that focuses on the outer edge of the upper lip to the corner. This procedure is used to raise the corner of the mouth and improves the look of despair. This is performed in the office under a local anaesthetic in less than an hour. If you are concerned about the scars, there are available incision treatments as you heal to provide the best result possible. There are laser treatments, microneedling, and topical creams, to name a few. Find a board-certified plastic surgeon that has extensive experience with your case and discuss realistic goals and post operative options. Best of luck! #RealSelf100
I would try to do anything other than a corner lip lift at your age. I think that is procedure reserved for patients in the 6th or 7th decade of life and at your age I would try fillers, internal lifts, or midface procedures before I would put a scar at the corner of the mouth.
It is not that the scarring is bad, just that some will exist. At your young age the downturning of the corners of the mouth would have to be severe to justify making a surgical change.
