The left side of my upper lip droops more than the right and gives me an asymmetrical smile. Would I be a candidate for a lip lift or possibly a unilateral lip lift to correct it? I ideally I want to show an even amount of teeth on both sides when I smile. the left side needs to show more of the incisor.
Some years ago I approached a surgeon as my upper lip was edentulous and tight when smiling. than a bull horn procedure, he raised the base of my nose. He took a full thickness crescent of skin from the floor of the nasal vestibules and resected the nasal spine lifting the nasal base and sill on closure, slightly rotated my columella. This left me with an unattractive flatter longer lip and significant difficulties in balancing the facial expressions involving the central elevator muscles which are now seem strongly opposed by alae nasalis pulling my nasal base and lip downwards.
Hello, i am thinking about getting smile lift which surgeon will cut the mouth depresser and stitch it together with mouth elevator. It sounds qite risky, i dont care about the scar but what about the muscle and nerves? Is there any long term side effect? is it safe method?
I have had a lip flip with botox , thinking it would even it out but probably ended up making it worse . I jus want to know how would i fix this and have a straight lip when i smile rather than a curved one so it shows more teeth . Is it caused by the over projection of my nose ? would a lip lift be a solution? rhinoplasty? Just need answers
Hello , I already had one lip lift and now my my smile looks good. However I always wanted a gummy smile, I think it's beautiful. Would I be able to get a gummy smile with another lip lift ? Now my gums are only showing when I laugh , I would like them to show easily when I smile . Is there a way to get an over active upper lip ? Thank you
Im okay with my smile but when I talk no upper teeth show. I think this is probably due to an underdeveloped upper jaw? I had an underbite as a child that was corrected with dental work. However my nose is already fairly close to my mouth. I can touch my tongue to my nose for instance. Im not sure if the lip lift would look crazy on me shortening the already small space between my nose and mouth.
