Hello cucupitoSwelling should subside within 1-2 weeks and tightness should diminish within a few months. Mild discomfort may occur but should not hinder day-to-day tasks. The lip will be a little higher than when it settle into position.  The sutures dissolve but are hard to see even immediately after surgery.  Incision treatments with laser, microneedling, and topical creams are available as you heal to provide the best result possible

I certainly understand your concern. For 12 days, you have more swelling than normal. Therefore, you have to be extra patient. Your lip will still drop as swelling subsides. If you had fillers to the upper lip in the past, you may decide to have that removed. I would wait with this decision for at least another 3 weeks though.
