Thanks for your question.  Fat grafting to the breast is increasing in popularity, as it is a good way to increase breast volume without the upkeep of implants.  An increasing number of women who don't want an augmented, but more natural look, are seeking this surgical procedure.  Your body will reabsorb about 30% of the injected fat.  Three months after this procedure gives you a good picture of what fat will remain.  Lifting your child should be fine after this procedure.  Just don't compress your breasts by wearing tight or sports bras and sleeping on your stomach.  Be sure to choose a board certified plastic surgeon who has expertise with this procedure.  Best of luck in your search.

Fat grafting to the breast can be a great way to increase fullness without use of an implant as it is your own tissue. As I'm sure you are aware the fat is unpredictable however and is never guaranteed to remain.
On average most fat grafts will decrease in volume by 50%. By the 3 month mark we are usually able to determine how much of your graft has taken.
One of the most detrimental effects to your fat graft is pressure. A tight bra or sleeping on your stomach would not be advisable. In theory, picking up your child should not harm your long term outcome.
