This is an update of my original question where, much to my embarrassment, I mistakenly asked about Restylane vs. fillers -- I meant Dysport. So sorry for the confusion! Anyhow, I've had Dysport in my chin to get rid of dimpling, but I'm wondering if filler would be better to get rid of the dimpling and also the "divots" around my chin (see picture). If so, which filler would be best. Thank you!
Answer: Chin dimpling treatment Hi catalinda8,No need for embarrassment! Thanks for putting yourself out there by asking questions and posting photos.I agree that a combo of fillers and Botox/Dysport would be a great treatment for you. The filler not only helps with the dimpling and "divots", but also restores lost volume in the chin area -- the effect is a more youthful and stronger profile. Botox/Dysport is effective for relaxing the muscle causing the small dimples, so together, Dysport and filler can really make a difference in the chin.

Answer: Chin dimpling Dysport or other neuromodulators can be used to decrease the appearance of chin dimpling. This is achieved by affecting the ability of the muscle to contract resulting in a softening of this look. Fillers would not address the muscle activity but can be used in conjunction with the neuromodulators for a more complete result. I've included a video on how neuromodulators work that I hope you find helpful.

Answer: Dysport PLUS Volumizing Fillers Work Well For Dimpled Chins It's often not an either or, when it comes to nonsurgically improving a dimpled chin. Neuromodulators, such as Botox, Dysport and Xeomin work to diminish the muscular hyperactivity that plays a significant role in their formation, and volumizing fillers, such as Voluma XC (which is my favorite for this in my Manhattan practice) and Restylane Volyme (my favorite in my Israel satellite facility, where a far greater number of regulatory agency approved fillers are available) work well for nonsurgical augmentation. Neuromodulators plus injectable volumizers together exhibit a synergistic effect and the results of combined treatment are typically not only better, but last longer. Be sure that you consult with a board certified aesthetic physician and make certain to ask to see his/her personal before and after photos of chins before agreeing to proceed. Best of luck.
