How the fat cells are collected for a Brazilian Butt Lift is important in order to achieve optimal results. Smartlipo uses laser to break up fat before removal, and this can damage the fat cells, so it is not recommended.
Thank you for your question but unfortunately the answer is “no.” With traditional liposuction the fat is being removed and harvested to be injected back into the body, whereas SmartLipo uses the addition of a laser to eliminate the fat in combination with tightening the skin. Hope this information has helped.
Lasered fat is composed of destroyed dead fat cells and wouldn't work for a BBL. However, if your surgeon starts the procedure with regular lipo to collect live fat cells, then they could do some laser lipo afterwards.
Hi asiaf08,You should not get smart lipo prior to suctioning out the fat for a bbl, the laser energy will cause fat cells to melt and hence non viable. If your provider uses the smart lipo on the undersurface of your skin to stimulate skin contraction AFTER all the fat to be used for your Bbl has been harvested then that would be okayHope this helps
Smart lipo can kill the fat cells during liposuction, so the fat is not able to be transferred later on. Healthy fat is able to be removed with traditional liposuction, and then transferred to the buttocks.
Fat transfer depends on living cells to survive their being moved to a new location. By definition the SmartLipo laser kills the cells right off the bat, so they aren’t useful at all in BBL.
The laser treatment kills the fat cells and therefore they cannot be transferred. It is possible to do some manual liposuction before starting the Smartlipo portion of the case, transfer this fat and then do the Smartlipo during the same case. However this would only make sense for small fat transfers.david berman md
Laser doesn’t work for fat transfer.I recommend water assisted, power assisted and ultrasound assisted Lipo techniques which are more evolved Liposuction and in my hands get great fat transfer survivability.Choose an expert. Best. Dr Brecht Seattle, Wa
Hi! This is a good question! The mons can be treated with SmartLipo. You would need a consult and exam with a board certified plastic surgeon to make sure you are a good candidate. Good luck!
What you are describing sounds like you are experiencing a little more swelling and bruising than the average smartlipo patient. I'm confused how you are getting bruising in your thighs after your abdomen and flanks were treated. Were all of the incisions sutured...
Thanks for the question. The incisions should be healed at this point. I suggest you call your surgeon to have them looked at. Best of luck!
In my experience, repeated liposuction in the same area does not yield a lot of fat. There is usually scar tissue which will cause longer healing time as well. The actual CC's of fat removed is less important than the results. Many times, repeated liposuction will address pockets or irregular...
Hi and thanks for the question. The incisions should be closed and healed at this point. I suggest contacting your surgeon to have them looked at. Best of luck!
Liposuction can be repeated, but usually with less fat removed and more scar tissue. Smart Lipo laser and/or Vaser ultrasound liposuction can help for better results. An exam and consultation with a plastic surgeon who performs these procedures is recommended to confirm you are a candidate as...
