Microlaser Peel or Halo to get skin ready for wedding in 4 months? (Photo)

Congratulations on your upcoming wedding! The great thing about the Halo laser treatment is that it is a hybrid laser, which combines 2 laser treatments at once. One of the laser wavelengths in the Halo is the same erbium wavelength used in most microLaser peel treatments. The Halo laser treatment will give your skin resurfacing similar to the microLaser peel treatment but will also stimulate collagen production overtime for improved texture and skin tone.  I think you will be happier with the Halo resurfacing but I would get the treatment as soon as possible to allow you several months for full recovery.
 

Thanks for the great question! You're going to see the greatest benefit with the halo. The halo fires two lasers at the same time which treat different things.  A single halo treatment will address pigment, fine lines, skin tone and texture. The microlaser peel might help a bit with superficial pigment, but it mostly improves skin texture. I tell patients that they will see the best results at 10-12 weeks after treatment, so you should be all set for your wedding. Best of luck!~Dr. Sieber
