Microlaser Peel or Halo to get skin ready for wedding in 4 months? (Photo)

Thanks for your question. Whats great about Halo is that you get two laser treatments at once. Surface treatment and deep layer tightening. This combination allows for great results with much less downtime than older lasers. Recovery would be similar  to a micro peel but with much better skin improvement.

Our patients love Halo so much! The result are impressive! It addresses so many issues and at the same time the recovery is very easy. You will not only be able to see the immediate results but will notice the longer effects of the non-ablative treatment as well. Nano are great as well but don't give the complete spectrum that a Halo would.

You are going in the right direction. Halo is the way to go as MicroLaserPeel (MLP) is only superficial. I would recommend MLP for someone who is just starting to get their skin ready for a Halo treatment. Definitely Halo since you have 4 more months to go. 

Congratulations on your upcoming wedding! The great thing about the Halo laser treatment is that it is a hybrid laser, which combines 2 laser treatments at once. One of the laser wavelengths in the Halo is the same erbium wavelength used in most microLaser peel treatments. The Halo laser treatment will give your skin resurfacing similar to the microLaser peel treatment but will also stimulate collagen production overtime for improved texture and skin tone.  I think you will be happier with the Halo resurfacing but I would get the treatment as soon as possible to allow you several months for full recovery.
 

Thanks for the great question! You're going to see the greatest benefit with the halo. The halo fires two lasers at the same time which treat different things.  A single halo treatment will address pigment, fine lines, skin tone and texture. The microlaser peel might help a bit with superficial pigment, but it mostly improves skin texture. Halo is the most popular treatment that our practice recommends for patients that want to look their best for a wedding. The recovery is minimal and 4 months is more than enough time to see the full effects. The Halo can smooth the texture of your skin and stimulate collagen at the same time. Microlaser peels are great for texture as well but it all depends on how intense the treatment will be.

Micro Laser Peel, simply put is 100% ablation of the top layers of skin. Halo Hybrid utilizes two different wavelengths, one of which is the same wavelength as the MLP, but on a fractional level. Combined, they are the best at achieving a more multi-faceted benefit. Halo can attend to discoloration, texture, pores, fine lines and collagen rejuvenation all in one treatment. You would have to decide which is most important to you, either resurfacing or rebuilding. As always, go to a reputable provider that will have your best interest in mind. Hope this helps!

OK, now this comes down to the operator, micro peel covers the entire surface, whilst Halo is fractional. You will get great results with both treatments, however, if you already had Fraxel, i would go for a bespoke high density HALO, make sure you get all treatments completed 6 weeks BEFORE your wedding.
