I’ve been getting juvederm ultra plus and restalyne lyft in my lips and I feel it only lasts me about 3 months. So I’ve been considering a fat transfer

kmikaila112.       Fat is an excellent option for lip augmentation.  Studies demonstrate 30%-60% take of fat grafted to the face, so a second procedure may be needed, depending on how much takes in your case.  Be sure to consult with a board certified plastic surgeon. Good luck!

Fat transfer is permanent. Fat transfer technique is important for successful fat transfer. I recommend water-assisted fat harvesting which gives pure fat to transfer and combine with platelet rich plasma (PRP) to get the most viable and sustainable fat cells. I recommend getting a formal evaluation with an expert. Best, Dr. Emer

Hi thanks for your question. Lip augmentation using fat produces permanent results compared to the fillers which have only a temporary effect. But only 60-70% of injected fat will take, hence one or more  sittings may be required to achieve the desired results. Consult a board certified plastic surgeon.

Fat injection in the face/lips is permanent when it "takes" .  The issue is that not all of it takes 100%.  Therefore,  multiple procedures is often required to get the final result.
