D & DDD cup - can I try to get medicaid to cover fat transfer to breast?

Question

So my breast are completely different sizes. One side is a d and the other side is a triple d. I have done breast reductions and the one breast keeps growing and the other one isnt. I am having trouble keeping a bra more than a month because i can't get it o fit me properly. I am a mother of a special needs child and really can't get a full time job between her and my elderly mother. I just need balance in breast with my back being thrown off. How do i get this covered?

it is hard to tell for sure without an examination. It is unlikely that insurance will cover the costs of fat transfer. If you are considering surgery, I would suggest you consult a board-certified plastic surgeon. Only after a thorough examination, you will get more information and recommendations.

Insurance will only cover a mastectomy and reconstruction for cancer, a breast biopsy to rule out a problem, and a breast reduction if enough tissue is present to cause problems. Otherwise, everything else is cosmetic and not covered.  You might qualify for another reduction on the larger breast. I don't recommend making your smaller breast DDD cup in size.

Fat transfer to your breast is not going to be covered by medical insurance but a repeat reduction may.
Insurance companies a know that breast deductions have a proven track record of helping women with neck and back pain and is generally considered adjustified procedure and getting authorization from medical insurance companies for a reduction whether it’s one side or both is not typically that difficult.
The fact that you’ve already had a reduction doesn’t change the fact that you still have symptomatic hypermastia.
Consider going back to the surgeon who did your first reduction or simply start consulting with local board-certified plastic surgeons who do insurance-based work.
You can call various offices and ask if they except medical insurance.
Depending on where you live you may want to find out where women go for breast cancer surgery. Plastic surgeons who do a lot of rest reconstruction are typically quite good at reductions and are familiar with working with medical insurance.
Augmentation is not ever going to be covered because it’s considered cosmetic.
The only exception is individuals with a history of breast cancer.
