Could I cause Botox migration?

I recommend my patients refrain from lying flat for four hours. I have no problem with my patients resting propped up on pillows.  It’s unlikely that you would cause the botox to migrate by bending over briefly.  Your Botox should start to kick in, in 5-7 days, maximum results by 2 weeks.  Follow up with your injector if you have any issues. Best wishes! 

It is unlikely you caused migration, but I recommend following up with your injector. It takes 1-2 weeks for final results with Botox. Hope this helps.

Thank you for your question.If you did not put any pressure on the area or do any strenuous activity I doubt you were the cause. I would suggest having your injector evaluate in person to determine what is going on.

Hello! Hope you're having a great day, I don't think this is your case. It is better to avoid any type of laying fat process between at least 6 hours from botox procedure/injections. And also, botox take time to adjust. I recommend you to consult with your doctor/injector first, to check that everything's fine. 

Botox migration can possibly occur with vigorous massaging of the area immediately after the treatment.  It is highly unlikely that you could cause migration by bending over or other temporary positional changes.  As always, consult with your injector if there are any questions or concerns.

Relax! The only time you can cause Botox or Xeomin migration is when you heavily massage the injected area within 3 hours of injection.
Bending over for a prolonged period of time after injection will not cause migration but it could give you bruising.Love your skin.

Stop worrying yourself to death. Conceptually all the warnings about Botox and the position of the patient after the treatment are completely incorrect. If botox is well placed by the Physician you should have no issues after sleeping or exercising or anything else. Good luck from New York City

It is unlikely that you caused any botox migration. Laying flat is something I recommend my clients to avoid for the first 4 hours after injection. If you were propped up with 3 pillows, that's not the same risk as laying flat. And you weren't in any extended body inversions. Botox takes up to 2 weeks to kick in. Follow up with your injector if you have any issues (but I don't believe you will). Good luck! 

Thank you for your question.  After botox injections, I recommend patients not lay down or bend over or perform strenuous activity for 4-6 hours after the procedure.  Botox can migrate if injected too close to the orbital rim or with too much activity around to the time of injection.  When botox migrates, you can have a droopy eyelid.  I recommend contacting your board certified plastic surgeon to address your concerns.  Good luck and I hope this helps.

When injected into the skin Botox will relax the muscles and smoothen out the overlying wrinkles. The most common areas of treatment are in the upper face. These include the horizontal lines seen on the upper forehead when one raises the brows, the vertical lines seen between the brows when one frowns (frown lines), and the crow's feet seen around the eyes when one smiles.It is difficult to make an assessment without a formal exam where the entire medical history is reviewed. However, I hope the information provided here is useful.The safety record of Botox is well established. The product has been used for over 20 years for a variety of treatments with minimal side effects. Botox is amongst the safest treatments for treating facial wrinkles.With any injection, there are risks such as pain, bleeding, bruising, redness, swelling, tenderness, and infection. We take special precautions to minimize these risks such as using a painless technique. We also treat bruises with a laser as early as the next day. Bruises usually resolve within two weeks if untreated. After a laser treatment bruises usually resolve in 1-3 days, but may still take two weeks for full resolution. In addition to these risks, with Botox there is also a risk that the product spreads or diffuses to nearby structures. Spread to nearby muscles can lead to side effects such as the temporary appearance of droopy eyelids or a temporary asymmetric smile.After a Botox treatment, I recommend that my patients avoid heat exposure, alcohol consumption, and strenuous exercise for 24 hours and not lie down flat for four hours. This is because all of these activities may possibly lead to the movement of the product and consequent side effects such as droopy eyelids as described above.
