Can Botox cause headaches?

While Botox can sometimes cause headaches, the headaches will usually begin a few days after the procedure rather than starting 2 weeks later.  Additionally, headaches that continue six weeks after a treatment is unusual as the headaches tend to subside over time.  I would recommend scheduling a follow-up visit with your provider to go over your results and discuss your headache related symptoms.  

Hello! hope you're having a great day!! yes it is possible, I recommend my patients to not get their heads down for at least 24 hours after the injections, to prevent headaches. But usually they don't last that long, consult with your doctor/injector to check what's happening. And remember that botox lasts for at least 3-5 months, before it starts to dissolve.

It is unfortunate but headaches do occur sometimes after a treatment using Botox. It is rare but it does occur from time to time. I believe this is related to the irritation of the nerves that are in the forehead area and this is where the headaches normally start. Applying warm, moist compresses helps to alleviate the headache and these do seem to go away after a few weeks. Good luck from New York City
