Is minoxidil safe for beard growth? I'm 18 years old.

Some of my friends have very thick and full beard but i haven't. My father's beard isn't very thick and full either. I don't even see my beard growing thicker.So Please give me a solution to grow my beard.

Minoxidil can help with the beard growth. It may not look like what your friends have but you can experience growth. If it won’t give you the satisfaction in the long term you can consider beard transplant.

Yes Minoxidil is safe for beard growth. Start with a low dose eg 1 mg daily and titrate upwards under the supervision of your hair restoration doctor. You may grow hair elsewhere also so get good advice first.

Many young men want to accelerate their beard growth and ask about it. It takes age (genetic triggers which occur in family lines) so if you want to find out when your beard will grow out, you need to find out when your father or grandfather started to grow their beard. Hormones should have kicked in nicely by the time a man reaches 18 but he must wait out his genetics as hormone alone are not responsible for the onset of beard grown. The drug minoxidil may help.  Beard transplants can be done when the young man is a bit older (over 25) if the beard has not grown in yet
