Dr Marzolo and his staff were very caring and professional. Follow up after my threading procedure was great, I am very happy and recommend the Norwood Day Surgery to everyone. Please do not wait contact the clinic today.
Needless to say, my hairline was one of my less favourable features. I felt I was limited because of it, from the way I wore my hair to the confidence I held, and the places I liked to visit. Having to hide it and feeling discomfort from that thought really bothered me. I don’t think though people should ever feel compelled to change the way they look, not for any other reason than for their own preference and comfort. I understand entirely, the feeling of being stuck in ones own skin - unhappy and in fear of judgement, and whilst I have found peace as I have grown I have decided that I will let nothing limit me. If surgery were to be my only freedom - so be it!
Brilliant Experience with Dr Mario Marzola and his Team. On Friday the 21st of July I had "Forehead Lowering Surgery". I had been thinking about the surgery for over 12 months. I visited Dr Mario a few times, and discussed the procedure and the outcome. Dr Mario was very informative, patient and professional with me. The reason for me having the surgery was that 3 years ago, I developed Frontal Alopecia, where I lost 80 % of hair around my hairline. I had always had a high forehead, but with the disease it got even higher. I found a great dermatologist that stopped the disease, then she referred me onto Dr Mario Marzola for the surgery.
In 3 weeks time I will finally be fulfilling my lifelong dream of having a smaller forehead. I am 27 years old and although I only discovered this procedure about 8 years ago I have dreamt of a miracle since I was a little girl. I am now financially secure to take the next step. I was unfortunately blessed with a large forehead which runs in my family. Never a day goes by where I don’t cover it up with a fringe or headband. Swimming and windy days fills me with anxiety for fear of people seeing my large forehead. I don’t want to spend the rest of my life so unhappy with my appearance, I want to enjoy life with confidence. I will be travelling interstate and so far I have had my consultation with Dr Marzola via Skype. I feel confident that he will help me achieve my expectations and hope to reduce my hairline 2.5cm. I have read so many of you reviews on Real Self, it has been such a huge help, and I am aware of the risks. I feel they are a small price to pay when I imagine the benefits and how I will feel after this is all done. If anyone has any tips, encouragement or information I will greatly appreciate it. I am so excited and nervous at the same time! I look forward to sharing my story as I progress. Updated on 28 Jan 2017: It has now been 5 days since I had my procedure and I am now back in my home town. The actual procedure went great. As it was twilight surgery I was concerned about being awake and although I didn't fall asleep I was comfortable with only a little recollection of what happened. The whole team at the clinic were wonderful, they were caring, thoughtful and made me feel relaxed. After the surgery was complete I was in a little pain and feeling sick. I was given a local anaesthetic and an anti-nausea injection. From then I felt great and went home to my hotel. I had something to eat and had a good sleep. The next morning I woke with some pain and nausea and spent the morning vomiting. Later I went back to the clinic to have my bandages removed. The doctor also gave me an anti-nausea injection which helped. Since then I have had no more nausea and just took pain relief for a couple of days if needed. My forehead is now approx 6cm and had 3cm taken off in total. It looks proportionate and I could not be happier. After all this time I can't believe I finally have a normal forehead! It feels surreal and will take a little time to get used to my new face. I get my stitches taken out in 3 days. I plan on using a scar cream and a hair vitamin. Does anyone have any recommendations? I found DR MARZOLA and his staff to be absolutely amazing and very professional but extremely caring and going up and beyond to make sure I was completely happy with my outcome which I am! I had a little follow up surgery to just go over everything so that we were both happy with the final result. My daughter also had lipo with Dr Marzola on her ankles and calves and he also did a little touch up after at no cost. My ex husband also had a face lift and very happy with his result. I felt so comfortable with Dr Marzola and his staff and how he did my surgery and I barely had any pain at all, no bruising and great follow up care all the time. He said he wasn't Jesus and couldn't perform miracles but my legs look amazing and after all these years will now wear shorts and shorter skirts!!! i HIGHLY RECOMMEND DR MARZOLA YOU WON'T BE SORRY!!!!
I had my two hairtransplants by Mario Marzola 3 years between each transplant. For the money I paid I unfortunately regret the procedures as it didn't seem worth it. The first hairtransplant went into shock so the hair growth from this procedure didnt go as planned. The second went better but it's still very obvious how the hairs are spread apart from each other. Also some obvious hairs on my forehead are to low and spread far apart it looks ridiculous. To hide this I'm growing my hair longer and using a hair powder to make it look thicker. From my experience I personally don't think it's worth the money.
In two weeks today i'll be going in to have my "Hairline Lowering" or "Forehead Reduction" surgery. To say i'm excited is an understatement :) I've never really been directly bullied about it, but I no people thought it. Friends would always say "why don't you get bangs"... we all know what they really want to say haha! I first came across this option about 12 months ago when searching for up hair styles for people with large foreheads. As soon as I came across it, I knew this was perfect for me. Something I always wanted and didn't even realise was an option. I'm not overly self conscious about it, depends on the situation. When going to the gym, walks, working out etc etc i'll wear it fully back in a high pony tail.... yet for work (I work in a professional business), dinners, first dates haha etc etc, I always wear my hair down, or parted with a low plait or something. Ultimately, as strange as it sounds to people that don't have this issue, I would love to confidently shove my hair up in a pony or bun, for any occasion and confidently wear it :) I'll keep you updated about my operation and recovery. All photos attached to this are "before" Updated on 26 Apr 2018: What a day!! All done now and back home :) I’m feeling great and keeping all food down. Will start on my suppliments again tomorrow! Back to doctors tomorrow for a check up :) Will let you know how the night/morning goes and tomorrow appointment. Updated on 27 Apr 2018: Had the bandage removed yesterday, the day after the operation. Pain has been on and off but managed with pain relief.... definitely hasn’t been as bad as I thought it would be. Struggled to sleep the first night, mainly because I couldn’t get comfortable and was conscious of not laying on my side. Got a straight 8 hour sleep last night and apart from my head feeling tight, there’s very little pain today. Happy with the progress so far, can’t wait for the stiches to come out on Friday! Updated on 19 May 2018: So I had my three week check up yesterday, two weeks since stitches being removed. This photo is a before and after (day before stitches came out). I have also uploaded a photo of the “scar” only days after having stitches out!
After a couple of months thinking about this I have finally decided to have my hairline lowered. Anyone with a high forehead will understand the daily struggle of trying to hide it or make it look more feminine. This has bugged me since an early age and I never knew the procedure actually existed until I started looking into it properly a few months ago. I watched the procedure online also and its not pretty but felt I needed to know exactly what I'm letting myself in for! The reviews that other people have written has helped me to make my decision and so i'm finally going in :) I still feel that I need some time to mentally prepare for it because I've never had cosmetic surgery before, so I've booked it for October with Dr Marzola in Adelaide. I will be travelling interstate to have this done. So far I have had my facetime/skype consultation with Dr Marzola who is lovely and i'm pretty much good to go. I measure 9cm and have long features so not entirely sure how much I want to take off. I have been told that 2cm is usually quite easily achieved but I would probably not go any further than 3cm personally. I am also a bit worried about the potential shock hair loss but other than that i'm looking forward to having it done and feeling more confident in myself. I would love to hear from anyone who is having this done or if anyone has any tips of advice having had this procedure done please share. Thanks :) Updated on 20 Aug 2016: Updated on 20 Aug 2016:
If you must have hair planted into existing hair, there are perils for the hair that is already there as you pointed out. Not only that, but it is very difficult and time consuming to plant in a forest. The usual outcome is less than optimal hair growth. Find a way to allow the planting with trimmed hair. It soon grows back again and long hair in the vicinity can be used to comb over it. Implanters are best when planting in long hair.
Seeing your photos, there is more hair loss to come. Best to stabilize this before or at the same time as transplants. Remember prevention is better than cure. Today a well informed Hair Surgeon will know how to stabilize most patients. Then have transplants to the front, let the medication do what it can to help the crown. After a year have another consultation, see how the transplant turned out, have more if you need. Personally you should have FUE, not FUT if there is a chance that you may need/want to wear short hair later in life.
When injected correctly, botox can be used to treat wrinkles and excessive sweating in the face. I would reccommed consulting an injector to get their advice in person.
Hi - It is very difficult to tell without seeing a doctor in person so they can assess the size/shape/colour of the mole. I would recommend consulting a dermatologist or qualified doctor to discuss.
Yes, this definitely could be a side effect from the Dysport treatment. I would recommend following up with the Doctor that treated you to discuss concerns.
