Can PRP help to restore hair on after chemo patient?

If you do nothing your hair will grow back after chemo. There is no studies that indicate that PRP will help or accelerate the process.

I have had experience with PRP in treating women who have  recently had chemotherapy and are  regrowing their lost hair. I believe, and it's very difficult to quantify, we were able to get the hair to regrow faster and thicker. I have not treated women who are four years out from chemotherapy. Theoretically PRP should thicken the hair approximately 40 to 60%. There is a botanical product from Legacy pharmaceuticals in Switzerland that is especially designed for women who have had chemotherapy and are several years out. I have not seen this medication sold in the US. I know that they are making some samples available for compassionate use.Hope this helps. Good luck.
