6 months ago, I had bellafill injected to augment my nose bridge and tip (Asian nose). I only had one bellafill session, and less than 1 syringe was used, though I’m not sure the exact cc injected. The results are okay, but doesn’t provide the definition I want. I want to get surgical rhinoplasty instead of more injections. Is it still safe to have surgery and what complications are there after bellafill?
Answer: Rhinoplasty Thank you for your question. While the timetable may lend itself to a rhinoplasty now, I suggest that you consult with your board certified facial plastic surgeon. It is important that you two develop a treatment plan that reflects your aesthetic goals. Best wishes,

Answer: Surgery after nose filler If 6 months have passed, in my experience it's possible to do the rhinoplasty surgery without much worry about complications. Be sure to discuss your goals and concerns with your board certified plastic surgeon and consider the pros and the cons. Be certain your surgeon is properly certified. I've attached a link where you can start your search.

Answer: Rhinoplasty Hello and thank you for your question. The best advice you can receive is from an in-person consultation. This will not present a significant problem, as long as your surgeon is aware of the bellafill. Make sure you specifically look at before and after pictures of real patients who have had this surgery performed by your surgeon and evaluate their results. The most important aspect is to find a surgeon you are comfortable with. I recommend that you seek consultation with a qualified board-certified plastic surgeon who can evaluate you in person. Best wishes and good luck. Richard G. Reish, M.D. FACS Harvard-trained plastic surgeon

Answer: Belafill in Nose This is an interesting question. The Belafill is a permanent filler made of PMMA (polymethylmethacrylate), which is the material used in Super Glue. These microscopic beads are incorporated into the soft tissue and can stimulate collagen formation. Now that the Belafill is injected, you must assume that the volume of the injection will be permanent. That being said, there is no reason why you cannot pursue surgical rhinoplasty to further enhance the bridge of your nose. Rather than artificial implants I would recommend using your own natural cartilage to make these changes. This is always safer as implants all carry a risk of infection or extrusion. A consultation with an experienced rhinoplasty surgeon is a must.

Answer: Can I get surgical rhinoplasty after Bellafill 6 months ago? B Yes it is possible, but there could always be complications from this permanent filler placed in the nose, even after a rhinoplasty procedure. Best to tell your operative surgeon so that there are no surprises
