Yawning will not damage your nose. You have not reached your final shape as the nose will continue to heal and reduce in size for up to a year. Once it does reach its final shape you may be more pleased with the appearance of your nose.
Thank you for your question. I suggest that you consult with your board certified facial plastic surgeon as you near the end of your rhinoplasty healing process.Best wishes,
Yawning will not damage your nose after a rhinoplasty. This is true 1.5 months after surgery or really at any time after surgery.
Yawning after rhinoplasty will not damage your nose. At only 1.5 months postop from rhinoplasty, your nose is still very swollen, which can create a tight sensation with certain facial movements such as yawning. There is not much you can do to prevent yourself from yawning anyway, so it would be best not to worry about it. I would recommend following up with your rhinoplasty surgeon to discuss your concerns. Good communication between patient and surgeon is very important both before and after surgery.Ziyad Hammoudeh, MD

When yawning it is normal to feel a little stretch and pressure. Your nose is still very sensitive and you will feel it every time you yawn until it fully heals. I suggest you consult with your plastic surgeon and go for your follow up appointments in order to get a more thorough examination. Best Regards
