Why didn’t my crooked nose straighten after rhinoplasty? (Photo)

Deviated noses are challenging but they all can be fixed. Have you discussed your concerns with your doctor? You may want to post or e-mail your head tilted back views so we can seed the column between your nostrils. Often it is the dislodged portion of the septum that causes a deviation like this.

Thank you for your question and sharing your photo. Its hard to compare your results without a before picture. It is difficult to get a crooked nose completely straight. A crooked nose is sometimes difficult to make completely straight.  However, there is a lot of healing that will take place over the next year.  Be patient and follow your doctor’s advice and instructions.

It's still too soon to tell what your final results will be. You need to have patience with your body as it begins to heal. The skin, bone and cartilage are all traumatized during surgery. Inflammation (swelling) is the normal response and will help your nose to heal and look beautiful in the end. If, one year from now, you are unhappy with your nose, then that is the time to think about a revision procedure. Right now, concentrate on other things you like to do and let your nose take its time to heal. I hope this helps.

You have to give yourself some more healing time.  Your nose and surrounding areas are going to be swollen for a while and you should be consulting the surgeon that performed the procedure but give yourself some time before going back in so some of it can subside. It can take up to a year for final results.

Many factors come in to play when it comes to rhinoplasty and septal deviation. The septum and bones can be off as well as the platform on which the nose sits as well. I can usually make it straighter but not perfectly straight.
