How can I achieve a shorter, more discreet horizontal scar and a more uniformly tightened submental area? (Photos)

In 2023, I underwent a submentoplasty to remove a double chin. While the procedure did successfully address the fullness under my chin, the resulting scar is what bothers me. It is approximately 2 inches long. At both ends, there are small tissue protrusions (dog ears), and the scar is visible from the profile, especially when I tilt my head downward. Additionally, in the central area under my chin (where the excess skin was removed), there is significantly less tissue that I can pinch between my fingers, whereas to the left and right of the center there is noticeably more residual tissue. This creates an uneven appearance. I am interested in understanding what revision options are available, both for the scar and for the submentoplasty itself, in order to achieve a shorter, more discreet horizontal scar and a more uniformly tightened submental area. I have seen that there are different techniques for removing excess skin, including approaches that could potentially shorten the existing scar. However, some methods involve vertical skin excision (as described in this paper: https://www.semanticscholar.org/paper/Direct-Submentoplasty-for-Neck-Rejuvenation-Bitner-Friedman/c2c9240c3316153b3f970a0c04740245dcf09027), and I am concerned about how visible such a scar might be. I would greatly appreciate your professional opinion on the best revision options in my case. Thank you in advance.
