Wide nose treatment recommendations? (Photo)

Question

I have suffered a lot from wide nose, and felt not confident about my wide nose a lot of times in social settings. My nose too wide and flared.. Are there any recommendations to solve this issues. Hope anyone could provide a solid steps to help my insecurities.

Based on your somewhat limited photos, your nasal bones and dorsum (bridge) appear wide but also low and under-projected. The most comprehensive approach to improve the appearance of your wide nose would be to increase the projection of the tip and dorsum while also reshaping the ala and nostrils to be less flared, and to reduce the size of the tip of your nose. All these aspects could be achieved during rhinoplasty.

Either alar base narrowing (an office procedure) or alar base narrowing with rhinoplasty are procedures for permanent improvement or correction of the nasal aesthetic features distracting you.

Tip-plasty and Alarplasty

You can have the lower half of the nose (tip and nostrils) addressed without breaking the nasal bones. Tip-plasty can address the bulbous tip either through closed or open approach to make it narrow and refined.
Alarplasty is a very fine and quick procedure that can narrow the nostrils and reduce the flare to soften the appearance. It has other names as well like ‘Weir Excisions’ or ‘Nostril Reduction’. However, it is important to note that asymmetry of nostrils is common and cannot be corrected with alarplasty.
 Both of these can be done under local anethesia.
