Can Ellacor be used for silicone removal?

I read that Ellacor can move silicone. the article states "More recently, a case o. successui removal of injected silicone using microcoring technology was reported, providing a potential scar-less option for its removal.118]" this was published in 2023. is anyone familiar with this? Ellacor, which we use frequently, removes small cores of skin. By removing thousands of these small cores we can tighten the area being treated.
Silicone is typically injected deep to the skin where Ellacor will not reach.
So, the answer is yes, it could help remove some if it was in the skin. And, no, it won't remove all of it nor reach deep.

I remove silicone regularly from cheeks, lips, and other areas.  But it is rarely complete as it depends on how much was put in, and where.

I have not heard of this.  That would definitely be an "off label" use of the device.  That said, I recently used Ellacor on a patient who did not remember when she had fillers and the hyaluronic acid literally started pouring out from all the skin cores and the patient did quite well.  I hope Dr. Hashemil does more research on this.  Best Wishes!!
