No, there is no scientific evidence that suggests Coolsculpting can help lower cholesterol. For best results with Coolsculpting, I recommend adding a combination of radiofrequency treatments like Vanquish, Venus Legacy, Exilis Ultra for skin tightening and with Z wave/Cellutone for skin smoothing. In our practice, we use a Fire and Ice treatment of Coolsculpting with Vanquish and are getting great results. VASER, with ThermiRF are an alternative and can give more contouring and definition. I recommend getting a formal evaluation with a body contouring expert. Best, Dr. Emer
Great question! To date, there hasn't been any convincing scientific data to show that CoolSculpting benefits your cholesterol levels in addition to the contouring effect. So, I wouldn't count on lowered cholesterol as a benefit.
Good morning, what an interesting question! If only it could be that simple! Unfortunately Cool Sculpting, while a tremendous tool for managing isolated pockets of fat that are resistant to diet and excercise is not a weight loss strategy and does not have any effect on cholesterol.Elevated cholesterol has been linked to numerous long term health problems and your family doctor is best suited to give you advice regarding strategies to lower cholesterol and the attendant health risks.Take care.Dr Nodwell
Overall health and cholesterol levels depend upon your nutrition, genetics, and exercise habits. Coolsculpting is meant for improving the body shape by removing 20-25% of stubborn pockets of subcutaneous fat, and it does not reduce the visceral fat. I believe long-term healthy nutrition habits and exercise on a regular basis can improve cholesterol.
Thank you for your question. Coolsculpting is a very safe procedure. However, all treatments have potential side effects, although with Coolsculpting they are very unlikely to occur. Your treating physician should discuss all potential side effects and expectations before your procedure. I hope this helps! About CoolSculpting:CoolSculpting is a revolutionary new way to melt fat that is completely pain free, requires no downtime, and can be completed in just one hour. This FDA-approved procedure is is perfect if you have been looking for a nonsurgical and pain-free alternative to liposuction. This new procedure has been clinically proven to help anyone who is searching for a surgery-free method to safely reduce fat that is located in problem areas. It works on various body parts and can now reduce fat from the neck area with the chin hand piece. The results are visible within 4-6 months and are permanent.
CoolSculpting is FDA cleared to permanently remove targeted pockets of fat from the body. Each treatment will remove from 20-25% of the fat in the treated area. Cholesterol is a completely separate issue, and will not be affected in any way by the CoolSculpting treatment. CoolSculpting is an amazing way to shape and smooth the body, but is not a weight loss treatment. The majority of patients who have several CoolSculpting treatments find that although the shape of their bodies is much more aesthetically pleasing, their weight has not changed at all. Cholesterol is an issue that relates to an individual's diet and genetics, it is not an issue of overall body fat. If you are interested in looking your best, I think you should book a consultation and see if you are a candidate for the CoolSculpting procedure. You will love the smooth, natural and permanent results.
Thank you for your question. Unfortunately, there is no effect on cholesterol with Coolsculpting. Cholesterol is related to your diet, metabolism, age, genetics and overall health. It is not a function of fat in the body. There is not enough weight loss with Coolsculpting to make a big difference. You can expect approximately 20% of fat loss in the treated area. There is a new hand piece called the CoolAdvantage that takes only 35 minutes. I recommend having a consultation to determine if you are a candidate for treatment.
so far we think based on the available date that your cholesterol will not change due to coolsculpting. Coolsculpting kills 25% of fat cells from treatment area only.
While fat cells are removed from the body through CoolSculpting, there is unfortunately no evidence to date that the treatment has any effect on your cholesterol. The best way to lower your cholesterol is still through diet and exercise.
Although Coolsculpting is a good way to remove unwanted fat for people who are determined to be good candidates for the treatment, it will not improve cholesterol or result in significant weight loss on its own without changes to the diet or exercise regimen.
Hello and thanks for your question. This should be fine as it does not affect the fat, only skin healing. Do not have a cheaper machine, as if you do have a skin complication (such as a cold burn) this would be of concern. Wishing you all the best, Dr Murray from Absolute Cosmetic Medicine
