How do I round out lower pole of my breast?

Question

I started with tubular/ constricted breasts. My right breast was worse. The bottom of my breasts looked dented in from constriction not rounded out as it should be by implants. I have now noticed my let looks this way too. Is there a certain bra I can wear to try and mold them or round them out? Is surgical revision my only hope? Should implants go on top of muscle to help shape (they are sili mod unders now). If I get it revised how do I prevent bottoming out from over dissection

You have excellent questions that you should address with your plastic surgeon who performed your implant surgery. In my practice when a patient starts out with tubular breasts or constricted breasts, I make it clear that the postoperative process after breast augmentation with implants will take longer to achieve the desired shape, because we have to allow the lower pole of the breast time to relax and expand. I have different techniques that I use to help this process, which include certain bras and intermittent upper pole compression to allow for gradual and controlled lower pole expansion. I also evaluate this process continually until my patient and I are convinced that the lower pole shape is adequately rounded out. At that point, I do provide recommendations for bras that will support this new breast shape to try to prevent bottoming out. I do not recommend revision surgery until I am sure that the patients breast shape can no longer change and be manipulated by non surgical approaches. This lower pole shaping process can take up to 12 months. I encourage you to talk to your plastic surgeon.

With sub muscular position of the implants I would be a bit pessimistic about the resolution of the dent created by the previous infra mammary fold. In my opinion it needs to be surgically released and draped over the prosthesis in a sub glandular position for suitable treatment.

Thanks for your question.  I do find that with tuberous breasts, putting the implants above the muscle can provide good lower breast fullness in most cases.  Whether this would help in your particular situation should be left to the plastic surgeon who has seen you in consultation.

Thank you for your question. It would be very helpful to know when your surgery was and to see before and after pictures. There is no bra that will fix what concerns you. It can take up to 6 months for the lower pole to stretch out. If it has been longer than 6 months I would discuss your concerns with your PS. Best of luck.

If you recently and your surgery, on many  occasions the lower pole will stretch out with time.  There are no bras that I know that could do that for you.

Rsmith, More information is needed to address this worry. Photos, and exactly what procedure was used, and how long ago it was done, are necessary requisites in discussing this.
