So I’m in my early 40s. I’ve never smoked. I do not like the shape of my eye brows. I want to have an arch and thought this would be the best way to go. I’m not sure if many surgeons do it any longer. If not why?
Answer: Consider Endoscopic Brow Lift While a direct browlift was still a popular procedure twenty years ago, we very rarely perform it today for four reasons. The first is that the scar from a dirct browlift is located in a a very visible position, while the quality of healing is often uncertain. The second reason is that to optimize control of brow symmetry, we usually want to be able to adjust both eyebrows. The third reason is that an direct browlift usually does not allow a wide enough mobilization to lift the eyebrow sufficiently. The fourth reason is that a direct browlift does not usually provide a long lasting, durable browlift. For these reasons, we would recommend that you undergo an endoscopic browlift.

Answer: Non-Surgical Chemical Brow Lift for Eyelid Rejuvenation -- add Ultherapy, Thread Lifting, RF Skin Tightening, Laser Treatments As we age, our eyelids naturally sag and droop. A combination approach would be best to see visible improvement. In terms of non-surgical treatment options, I would recommend a Chemical Brow Lift (using Botox, Dysport, Xeomin, or Jeuveau) and filler injections to rejuvenate the temples, eyebrow, eyelid, eye troughs, upper eye hollows, and forehead. I typically combine this with Ultherapy and thread lifting to lift the brow; RF and skin tightening laser treatments to stimulate collagen production and rejuvenate the skin; and laser or superficial RF devices for improvements in texture, color, and any crepey skin around the eyes as needed. In some cases, surgery is the best solution to achieve the desired results. See an expert for a formal consultation. Best, Dr. Emer.

Answer: What to know about brow lift procedures Thank you for your question and photo. Direct brow lifts are generally reserved for rare cases in which the brow has fallen to the point of inhibiting the person’s vision. Addressing this issue requires removing the tissues just above the brow to raise it, and is rarely performed for cosmetic purposes. However, you may benefit from an endoscopic brow lift to redefine the arches and the contour of the eyelid crease. I recommend scheduling an in-person consultation with an experienced, board-certified facial plastic surgeon who can assess your needs and suggest the best approach.

Answer: Brow lift A direct brow lift entails excision of skin right at the brow margin. This results in a visible scar that may persist. A better option is a pretrichial brow lift in the lateral hairline margin to lift the lateral tail of the brow.

Answer: Direct brow lift? Hello @Beautiful551611 thank you for your question. From what I can see in the picture you could benefit from a brow pexy to give and arch to the eyebrow. I can also see that the upper eyelids look heavy, you could consider an upper eyelid blepharoplasty to refresh the look. For more information and recommendations is best to consult with one or several board certified plastic surgeons. Best wishes! Alan Gonzalez MD, FACS.
