Can I use CoolSculpting for a smaller waist?

Question

I'm already very petite, but I have an athletic body type. 18% body fat. 5'1" 100 lbs. When I gain weight, it tends to go to my butt and thighs,and some to my midsection. My issue is, because of my athletic body type when I gain weight on my waist, even the littlest bit, I lose a lot of my shape. Even though I have very little body fat in my waist area, would I still be able to coolsculpt and see significant results?

In your situation the best option would be to have a consultation with a local physician. Ideal candidates are those that have "pinchable" fat in those stubborn areas that won't  go away with dieting and exercising.

coolsculpting probably would not be effective.  even if you have enough loose skin and fat to be sucked into the applicator.  I think laser assisted liposuction using the skin tightening componant to attempt to deepen the waist could give you some limited improvement.  the laser system I use can have the fat destruction wavelength turned off ( 924nm) and the skin tightening mode turned on (975nm).  this can be done with out extracting any fat if there is not enough fat to remove, although some fat will be destoyed by the heat of the 975 nm wavelength.
