3/13 Explant, lift w galaflex. 6/2 Redness began, ABX started. 6/4 Blister like appearance. 6/5 Incised & drained "softball size" amt, mostly clear, no odor. Packed/wicked thru 7/13. 7/10 ABX started. 7/13 Discontinued wicking. 7/16 Began draining a lot of fluid. 7/18 Surgery, removed small amt of necrosis & mesh, no sign of infection. 7/18 ABX started. 7/18 Removed drain. 8/2 Redness began. 8/5 ABX started. 8/7 Redness increased, area very hard and painful. Your input is very much appreciated.

No, it is not typically necessary to perform a nipple graft with an explant and lift. I'm sorry that you have had this unfortunate result. If the nipple viability is in question the procedures can be staged in order to have less trauma to the breast and thus lower risk.
After years of being in the body , the implant shell can then colors. They aren’t usually the crystal clear color coming out as they are going in. Some doctors rinse the pocket in betadine , which can also contribute to the color Change. Nothing to worry about!
