It has been 2 months since my hair transplant (fue). I wear really tight head band and touch my recipient area few times a day. Does this, by any means, causes degradation in hair growth? Some of the hairs has also not fallen off from the recipient area. Is this okay?

Answer: Your post FUE concerns At this point (two months) you can consider the transplanted hairs the same as the non transplanted hairs. So touching and a tight hair band should not alter finsl results. It's ok that some of the hairs have not fallen. This happens occasionally.

Answer: Hair Transplant Recovery Thank you for asking the question. We suggest the wearing of head-band only for 3 days post-surgery. The idea is to reduce swelling. Touching makes no-difference to the hair-roots. In-fact even if you touch the transplanted recipient-zone the next day still it would make no difference to the hair-root. So, at this time after 2 months you are anyway at the phase where most of the hair is fallen off. So, just sit-back, relax and allow the hair to grow; take its natural course. Hair growth starts around in 3 months and it should take you around 8 to 9 months for a complete result. Regards, Dr. Amit Gupta
