Answer: Gynecomastia male breast reduction male breast liposuction removal of breast skin post op male nipples Hi Srikanthyoga, Thank you for your question regarding excess chest skin after gynecomastia surgery. During gynecomastia surgery, the male breast gland tissue and male chest fat are removed. The male chest skin is not removed. In regards to your treatment at this time, I would suggest male chest skin removal. For most patients without significant weight loss (Weight loss less than 100 pounds or 50 kg), gynecomastia or pseudo-gynecomastia can be treated usually very successful with VASER liposuction. Based on your single picture and not a thorough physical examination, I see more male breast fat. Therefore, more VASER liposuction is required. If, however, you do indeed have excess male breast skin, you would need male breast skin removal. Whether you need liposuction or skin excision can only be assessed during a consultation. I hope that I have answered your questions regarding male chest skin removal after gynecomastia. If you have any more questions regarding the treatment of gynecomastia whether it is with liposuction or surgical resection, please contact my office. Good luck! Sincerely, Dr. Katzen.

Answer: GYNECOMASTIA For men with too little muscle definition, fat transfer from other areas of the body will be used to enhance the pectoral muscles. The fat transfer process puts extra tissue beneath, in, and above the pectoralis muscle. Enhancement with VASER is done completely without man-made silicone implants, which can cause complications and feel unnatural. The chest, whether it is breast tissue or pectoral muscle, can be defined by sculpting along the borders of the chest to find the most aesthetically pleasing dimensions for each patient. The goal of this technique is to optimize the volume of the chest using tissues that are already present, while further defining those muscles by sculpting away unnecessary items.

Answer: Excess skin Dear srikanthyoga, the skin tends to retract after the gland is removed. This process can last a few months. If there is still excess of the skin then surgical removal can be considered. Daniel Barrett, MD, MHA, MS Certified, American Board of Plastic Surgery Member, Am. Society of Plastic Surgery

Answer: Skin removal on chest after gynecomastia, what can I do? Thank you for sharing your question and photograph. Though you do not mention the timing since your surgery I would advocate waiting at least six months before pursuing any additional surgical procedures. This will allow your skin the time to hopefully retract and shrink to its now smaller size. If excess tissue remains you can have a small revision performed to remove the loose skin and give you a firmer chest appearance. Hope this helps.

Answer: The likely solution for you is skin excision and areolar reduction The likely solution for you is skin excision and areolar reduction. This can be done under local anesthesia and it’s possible to have improvement. If your skin did not sufficiently contract, this is the only reliable option. Non surgical skin tightening devices exist, but the results are less predictable.
