Some gynecomastia corrections involve only liposuction as there is no true tissue to be removed. This should include all areas around the breast to make everything symmetric. If you have excess tissue (true gynecomastia) you will require excision +-liposuction.

Great question. It depends on the surgeon and what was planed and discussed in the consultation. Personally I do liposuction all areas needed to be suctioned on the chest when perform gynecomastia surgery. You should discuss your concerns with your surgeon.Good luck!
