Hello and thank you for your recent question! It is understandable why you have feelings or concerns about being botched. I would recommend doing research and finding a board certified plastic surgeon and request and second opinion. This could be a easy fix to help get you back to a good asymmetry. Best of luck!
Dear christy71470, Thank you for your question. As you are 6 months out and are still unhappy with your results, I suggest weighing out your options for a revision surgery, as this may be easily corrected. I suggest doing research in finding a well renown Board Certified Operating Surgeon and setting up a consultation. Best of luck to you!
Thank you for your question and photos! I do think that the asymmetry of your breasts can be corrected with a revision surgery. I recommend that you consult with a board certified plastic surgeon to discuss your options.
Hello,You are not botched, but you did not heal as well as expected, with notching of the smaller breast. This usually is seen with some loss of tissue, frequently but not always associated with some skin loss. Time and gravity will unlikely make this better any time soon, and you may elect to get a revision surgery.
Breasts are naturally asymmetric and it takes one full year to assess final results after breast surgery. If there are concerns at that point, a revision can help.
Sorry to hear about your issues. Time will certainly continue to help things but it is unlikely that they will be perfectly symmetrical. No two breasts ever are and judging by your photos I think there may be some room for improvement, mainly reducing the left side to help match the right.I would wait it out as your surgeon explained and see how long he/she would like to wait before considering breast revision surgery.Hope that helps.
Dear christy71470,based on your photos, it looks like you have significant asymmetry and you will most likely need a revision surgery in order to achieve more symmetry. If you are considering a surgery, I would suggest you to consult a board-certified plastic surgeon. Only after a thorough examination you will get more information and recommendations.Daniel Barrett, MDCertified, American Board of Plastic SurgeryMember, American Society of Plastic SurgeryMember, American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery
Hello, and thank you for your question. (Keep in mind that an in-person consultation is necessary for the best advice.) Your frustration is understandable. A revision procedure may be a good option to improve your result. If you decide to pursue surgery it’s very important that you find a surgeon whom you are comfortable with and trust and who evaluates you in-person and tailors an individualized treatment plan for you and your aesthetic goals. Best of luck!Matthew A. DelMauro, M.D.
At 7 months, it is unlikely that your asymmetry will correct itself. I would recommend a revision. Your nipples appear to be at symmetrical locations, thus further removal of skin and tissue from your larger side will help with the asymmetry. A small revision at the lower pole of your other breast will also help with the contour abnormality there. Be sure to see an appropriately trained Plastic Surgeon. All the best
Your disappointment is understandable but I would not say that you were "botched". Having said that, there is a significant amount of breast asymmetry present, that I do not think will change significantly. It is likely, based on your description and photographs, that revisionary breast reduction surgery will be very helpful. Carefully communicate your concerns/goals with your plastic surgeon. Assuming good communication and skillful execution of the revisionary breast operation, significant improvement can be expected.Best wishes.
