Firmness around incision lines under breast is much more firm at 5 weeks. Surgeon says it's scar tissue. Opinions? (photos)

Thank you for submitting your questions and photos.  Based on the timeline and your photos, you are experiencing some inflammation and firmness seen in this stage of the healing process.  Although it may be difficult, try to be patient in these first few weeks/months and follow your surgeon's instructions.  If you notice significant changes/worsening, don't hesitate to get in for an evaluation.  Good luck in your recovery and thanks again for reaching out.  

In the normal phases of healing, immature scar is laid down by your body then replaced slowly by permanent scar.  These firm areas will likely soften with time.  In my experience, 3-6 months is a good time to reevaluate for scar revision.
