I had a large mittelman prejowl implant placed via submental about 4 weeks ago. It seems that it's projecting down rather than out, and during too low. My surgeon agreed to do a decision free of charge. Do you think moving it up will improve the appearance abd give it a more forward rather than downward projection? Just looking for a second opinion? Should I consider a different shape?

Answer: It may be too soon to consider chin implant repositioning only 1 month post-operatively.
After 6 weeks, the implant is securely in place, It is highly unlikely that any shifting occurred. I would take the following things into consideration:1) Has the appearance changed?2) Is there any swelling in the area? If you have any concern, I would recommend speaking with your surgeon....
A direct blow to a filler may shift it in the first week.As for implants. once they have healed, if they are fixed to bone, the implants will probably be ok.The brain is another matter - repeated head blows cause brain damage.
Certainly from a timeline standpoint it is okay to have fillers. I believe you will be dissatisfied with fillers to increase the projection of your chin. Sounds like that reevaluation of the current implant is needed and possible replacement for an implant that is more projecting to improve your...
