Can a chin implant be shaved down without removing it?

I have an implant around my jaw that connects at the chin. Then chin portion provided too much projection and I wood like it to be either gone or charged down, but don't want to have the entire implant removed -- is it possible to cut out the chin implant portion or shave it down without taking the full implant out?

That said, if the chin tightness is very bothersome to you, an examination is warranted. Sometimes a dilute steroid injection in the area of the implant can serve to loosen some excessive scar tissue. It all depends upon your examination. Wishing you well. Sincerely, Dr Joseph
