How much time should I take off work after getting a chin implant?

The procedure is a short outpatient procedure that lasts about 30 minutes. The procedure can be performed under local anesthesia, sedation, or general anesthesia. You have a little bruising or swelling for three or four days, but the postoperative course is smooth and has few complications. In addition, the patient notices immediate improvement. Your board-certified plastic surgeon will be the best resource for determining how you are healing and if you need more time off work.

You chin will be swollen and sore, and you will most likely have compression tape as well. Pain is typically mild to moderate. It's probably wise to take a day or two.
