5 months post-op- Should I pursue a chin implant revision or another aesthetic surgery? Am I being too picky? (Photos)

Question

I had a large chin implant and chin lipo with reinjection done in November 2021. It is an overall improvement and I'm happy with my profile view, but from the front the implant highlighted existing asymmetries. I think it looks slightly too long and wide on the bottom. In the past I had a Botox injection that relaxed muscles on one side and centered my chin, but I don't think that would work now because of the implant. Any thoughts or advice is greatly appreciated!

I understand your concern. However, without a proper assessment, it would be difficult to determine what went wrong. It is best that you visit your plastic surgeon for further assessment or ask for a second opinion. Only after a thorough examination, you can get proper recommendations and advice.

You do have a recessed chin, but the implant does make your lower face wider, and it it is tilting towards one side. You are a good candidate for a genioplasty. This is a permanent procedure that allows us to pretty much put your chin in whatever position you like. By bringing it slightly forward and down, this would create more definition to your jawline and add balance to your profile. It would fix the asymmetry, while reducing the overall width of your chin as well: all without the need of an implant. It is a fairly common practice to remove chin implants and replace with a genioplasty because you will end up with a better outcome. I suggest doing some research before having an implant revision.

Hi!I am sorry you are going through such an ordeal. The objective, for now, should be not to make the problem any worse. Unfortunately, it is common for off-the-shelf implants to cause many problems. 
Without proper consultation, it is impossible to know what is causing the problems you are having. 
Custom chin implants are made exclusively for you and provide the best solution as far as implants are concerned. Before possibly making such an important decision again, please learn the differences between standard and custom chin implants.

Your observations are reasonable including the asymmetry with a slight malalignment of the implant. As well, you have a narrow lower jaw, so the implant will appear isolated and 'strong'. Ideally you would have augmentation just behind the implant to 'blend' it better into your jawline and avoid the strong appearance in image 1.
