I am 27 years old and have a crooked nose. I have been insecure about it since I was young. I want to know if I have a deviated septum and I choose to go the septoplasty route if it’ll even change the look of it or straighten it out? Otherwise I would definitely do rhinoplasty. I would also of course get a chin implant.
Answer: Crooked Nose and Septoplasty Thanks for your question. A deviated septum can cause nasal obstruction, but correcting it with septoplasty alone typically won’t straighten the outward appearance of a crooked nose. If your main concern is the cosmetic shape, especially since you've felt insecure about it for years, rhinoplasty would likely be the more appropriate option—possibly in combination with septoplasty if breathing issues are also a factor. Adding a chin implant can be a great way to further balance facial proportions, especially if you're looking to enhance overall profile harmony. I’d recommend consulting with a board-certified facial plastic surgeon to review your goals and examine your facial structure in detail.

Answer: YES- I Recommend Rhinoplasty with Deprojection and Chin Implant | Plastic Surgery | Expert | Surgical | Nose Job | Septoplasty Hello and thank you for your question and the pictures. You actually have a difficult problem. To properly address your nose and improve your facial balance, you would need an open septorhinoplasty with nasal tip deprojection to improve the overall harmony of your different facial features. Also, to really have the best, most balanced results (especially for your side profile), I'd recommend additionally getting a chin implant. This truly a surgery of millimeters- and tip deprojection is one of the most technically challenging surgical techniques! Because your nose is the DEFINING feature of your face- I would only recommend seeing a surgeon who specializes in rhinoplasty procedures, and who has significant training and experience performing these surgeries. I actually trained under one of the world leading rhinoplasty experts (who performs 1,000+ nosejobs annually). I recommend for you to setup a formal consultation with me (or another plastic surgeon who is extremely comfortable with rhinoplasties) to thoroughly discuss your surgical goals, undergo a formal examination, evaluate your options, and develop a personalized plan just for you. I hope this helps! Dr. Donald Groves Aesthetic Plastic Surgeon

Answer: Septorhinoplasty Hi, thanks for sharing your pics. A septorhinoplasty both corrects structural problems and reshapes the nose into a more pleasing shape. Reducing the hump that's especially noticeable in your side profile would greatly enhance your overall appearance. Additionally, since the tip of your nose is quite long, reducing its projection and refining it would give a more delicate and balanced look. A chin implant would likely complement these changes and further improve the harmony of your facial features, making your nose look even better in proportion. Best of luck on your journey!

Answer: Septoplasty vs. Rhinoplasty Hello and thank you for your question! A septoplasty is going to help fix the functional abilities of your nose caused by your reported deviated septum, whereas a rhinoplasty will help to straighten the nose and get it to the shape you want. A combo septorhinoplasty can be done to fix both the shape and functional issues of your nose with 1 surgery, and based on your description of your issues would be the best option for you. As always, it would be best to seek an in-office consult with a plastic and reconstructive surgeon to assess what procedures and techniques would work best for your aesthetic goals. Hope this helps!

Answer: Septo/rhino Hello, In order to further determine if you have a deviated septum it would be beneficial to schedule a in person consult with a plastic surgeon. The in person consult would also help determine if a septoplasty or a rhinoplasty would benefit you.
