I am 27 years old and have a crooked nose. I have been insecure about it since I was young. I want to know if I have a deviated septum and I choose to go the septoplasty route if it’ll even change the look of it or straighten it out? Otherwise I would definitely do rhinoplasty. I would also of course get a chin implant.
Answer: Are you a good candidate for rhinoplasty and or septoplasty? Are you a good candidate for rhinoplasty and or septoplasty? you have a small dorsal hump, and a slightly bulbous nasal tip. These are issues which are typically addressed during a routine rhinoplasty. If you have either airway obstruction or a deviation of the septum causing crookedness of the nose visibly, then a septoplasty would be performed in conjunction with the rhinoplasty. The combined procedure is called a Septorhinoplasty and is very common. as you point out, your chin is also weak and would benefit from either a chin implant or long acting filler.

Answer: Rhinoplasty Hello! Thank you for your question. As far as I can see from your photos I recommend septorhinoplasty operation for both the correction of your breathing problem and the aesthetic appearance of your nose, and you also seem suitable for chin implant. It would be better face to face consultation. Best Regards!

Answer: Rhinoplasty would be the best choice. Hello, You have a deviated septum. This problem can be corrected by septoplasty. However, you also have a hump in the side angle view of your nose and your nose tip is a little low. That's why I recommend you rhinoplasty surgery. In this surgery, both the septum deviation problem will be corrected and a more feminine result will be achieved by correcting your hump and slightly lifting the tip of your nose. In addition, your chin is set back compared to your facial structure. The appearance of the nose will be balanced with the chin implant.

Answer: You appear to be a good candidate for septorhinoplasty! Based on your photos, you appear to have an overprojected nasal profile appearance, a long nasal appearance, and a slightly crooked nasal appearance on front view. Rhinoplasty surgery may be considered for achieving a less projected, less distracting, straighter, and more feminine nasal appearance. I believe a small chin implant might be helpful, however, I believe you're over-projected nose on your facial profile view is the main issue. I hope this helps and I wish you good luck moving forward! Sincerely, Dr Joseph

Answer: A Deviated nose requires a Rhinoplasty, and possibly a Septoplasty. You ask an excellent question because both the external, and internal structures may be involved in a deviated or tilted nose. A septoplasty deals with the tilting or excess curvature of the septal cartilage which separates the two nostril airways inside the nose. Because you have a visible tilt to your external nose, and the bump of the dorsum, you will need to address the external nose structures through a rhinoplasty to correct these concerns. It is also likely that you may have a tilted septum that will need to be addressed with a septoplasty because your nose is about to be straightened. This is a common finding with a tilted nose. These would be performed as a septorhinoplasty in the same procedure to ensure that you maintain a good airway after the surgery. Your in-person examination will determine if a septoplasty is necessary. Your plan for addressing the chin at the same time is ideal. Dr. B.
