Thank you for the question and picture.The BBL procedure involves harvest fat from areas of your body where there is excess fat and injecting that fat carefully into the central zone of your buttock. In addition, it involves liposculpting the buttock to facilitate a more rounded look. The common donor sites for this procedure is your posterior waist/flanks, lateral thighs, back, waist, and anterior tummy. Please visit with a board certified plastic surgeon.

Wider hips at the level of the iliac crests can be achieved by the use of fat grafting. It may not be possible to achieve a 3 inch increase on each side but that would depend on how much fat you have to harvest and how much would survive afterwards. Hip implants are also available but the safest technique with the least risk of any problems would be fat grafting.

There are options to enhance or augment the size of the hips, and these can include either fat transfer or  hip implants.  Of the two, liposuction with free fat transfer would probably give you a better long term result with fewer potential risks or complications.  Fat could be removed from those area that you would like reduced and injected into the hips.  Costs can vary depending on the amount of fat that needs to be transferred and the number of liposuction sights.  The procedure would take about two hours to be performed and could be done on an outpatient basis.  Seek out a board certified plastic surgeon in your area who has extensive experience with fat transfer procedures.   Best wishes, Dr Lepore.
