Can i get a Breast Reduction transfer the fat to put in my butt?

Breast reduction is performed with formal surgical excision of the excess tissue.  This is all sent for surgical pathology.  If you are hoping for insurance coverage, then all of it must go to the laboratory and there would not be any tissue available for buttock fat grafting.  Also, I would not recommend a liposuction breast reduction as this would leave you with sagging and certainly not aesthetically pleasing breasts.  You may have fat in other areas such as the flanks or abdomen which could be considered for grafting in the buttocks.  However, this is best left to another procedure.  I would encourage you to have the breast reduction first, adapt to the new contours of your body and then decide about the buttocks.

I definitely would never transfer fat from the breast to place anywhere.  Ideally it's nice to actually remove the breast tissue during a reduction versus liposuction because you have the added benefit of sending it to a pathologist to rule out any evidence of cancer in the specimen.  Quintessa Miller MD, FACSSan Antonio Plastic Surgeon

What would you do if you developed breast cancer in your butt. You would be a very unhappy lady. No one I know grafts fat from you  breasts and puts it into your butt. We use other fat. Any good board certified plastic surgeon would not graft breast fat.
