Best Rhinoplasty Surgeons in Chicago?

I live in Chicago and I am interested in seeing a doctor in my area who specializes in Rhinoplasty. Does anyone anyone have a recommendation on who I see? Preferrably someone who lives in the Naperville area.

There are several outstanding rhinoplasty surgeons in Chicago, and I would not so humbly include myself in that group, having board certification by both the American Board of Plastic Surgery, and the American Board of Otolaryngology and over 30 years of experience.  In narrowing down your choice, I would focus on reputation, online reviews, and before and after pictures, looking for an aesthetic that matches yours.  On consultation, you should look at before and after examples that have features in common with your own, and of course choose a surgeon that you are comfortable with.

Being in the Chicago area, you have a number of choices in surgeons. In my opinion, the correct surgeon for you is one who is board-certified (facial plastic surgery or plastic surgery), has years of rhinoplasty experience, listens to your concerns, and gives you confidence that you will receive the outcome you are looking for. In-person consultation is paramount, because you won't be able to get a full sense of that surgeon and his or her style until you meet in person. Ask for a simulation of the surgery to get an idea of the type of alterations the surgeon intends to make. Look at before and after pictures and reviews of previous patients. Also, try your best not to be deceived by the price of the procedure. Shopping for deals for the least expensive surgeon is a sure-fire way to get into trouble. The opposite is true, too--the most expensive surgeons are not necessarily the best, either. After consulting with multiple surgeons, listen to your gut about who you believe will help you achieve your desired look.

You will need to find a board certified surgeon. They should have plenty of positive review, a good photo gallery and excellent bedside manner. Facial plastic surgery training is NOT a requirement, there are thousands of qualified general plastic surgeons who perform this operation beautifully.

Fortunately, the Chicagoland area has great options for you.  It's important you choose a surgeon that specializes in Rhinoplasty.  Most likely, they will be a board certified facial plastic surgeon and are very experienced with the nose and face.  Plenty of pre and post-op photos should be available for you to view and computer imaging is also extremely helpful for patients to communicate their concerns and desires.

The only REAL way to evaluate results fo the plastic surgery procedures other than knowing a lot of patients is to carefully evaluate before and after photographs. Everything else is just talk . Make sure surgeon has hundreds of photographs (not only a few) decide if you like the results and ask about revision rate - should be less than 1-2% (national average 10-15%)
