Wondering if I’m a good rhinoplasty candidate. I’m looking for my nose to be straightened out and bridge made more symmetrical and slightly thinner. Also for the tip to be more defined and less bulbous
Answer: How you may benefit from rhinoplasty Thank you for your question and photos. You appear to be a candidate for rhinoplasty to make the cosmetic changes you’ve described. The bridge can be narrowed and the tip redefined for a less bulbous appearance. Straightening the nose can also be achieved with grafts, struts, or a septorhinoplasty procedure to correct a deviated septum. Keep in mind that rhinoplasty is one of the most complex of all plastic surgery procedures, requiring experience, skill, and even artistry to achieve an optimal outcome. I recommend scheduling an in-person consultation with an experienced, board-certified facial plastic surgeon, with expertise in rhinoplasty techniques. They will be able to conduct a thorough physical exam to determine the procedural steps required to help you achieve your aesthetic goals.

Answer: Rhinoplasty may be considered for nasal narrowing and straightening. Based on your photos, you appear to have a somewhat wide nasal appearance with a dorsal hump and a wide droopy tip. Please consider Consulting with several reputable rhinoplasty specialists who offer computer Imaging so you could see what to expect after well performed surgery. Hope this helps! Dr Joseph

Answer: You do seem to be a reasonable candidate. More... I see the bump on the bridge. And that the tip is more prominent than it needs to be. Can't really tell from these photos, but often, when we're lowering a bump on the bridge and narrowing a tip, it's important to elevate the tip a bit as well. We'd tell that from profile views and a better variety of 3/4 views. How *much* to elevate the tip, or lower a bump, or make other changes? We figure that out with morphs, well before surgery. I'd love for you to see some excellent professionally-designed morphs of what could possibly be done with your nose. Morphs could also help you identify better just what's bothering you, and help you set a goal for the rhinoplasty that's accurate for your tastes. Profile and three-quarter views would be particularly important in morphing your nose. (Side note: in my opinion, morphs should really be done by the surgeon, or he should direct an assistant as she makes the morphs. Morphs should be made with a constant eye to what actually *can* be done in surgery, for that particular nose, and the surgeon has that information and judgment best.) Finally, remember that rhinoplasty is an exquisitely difficult operation to get right, and you should only have surgery if you are able to make yourself very confident in your surgeon's skills. The changes that your nose needs require advanced techniques, and skill that most plastic surgeons don't possess with expertise. For most noses, it's much better to not have surgery than to have inexpertly-performed surgery. Read my essay on how to stay out of trouble while selecting a rhinoplasty surgeon. And it also discusses how to take photos that are best for online evaluations.

Answer: Rhinoplasty A narrower thank you for your question and sharing your photographs. The characteristics of your nasal skin are favourable for a combination of reduction in projection and narrower appearance from the front view. An alar base reduction may be a consideration for the overall "downsizing" of the nose on the front view. The deviation of the nose starts relatively high (high septal deviation) and in general, ultrasonic rhinoplasty can help with the correction of the deviation and maintaining a narrow appearance of the bridge.

Answer: Rhinoplasty Hello! Thank you for your question.I have evaluated your case from the photos you provided (but first I would also need your medical condition information). Your nostrils are too wide (especially when you smile). There is an overprojection (visible especially from side) and a small deviation with a dorsal hump. With a rhinoplasty surgery you can have a smaller, more elegant, straight and thinner nose. You are a good candidate for the surgery and your expectations are realistic.Best regards!
