Is there a surgical fix to uneven eyebrows? (Photo)

Question

I was wondering if there was a surgical way to adjust my eyebrows. I know my eyebrows aren’t even with each other because my right eye is lower than my left (and I know the way to adjust that is complex maxillary surgery which I’m not interested in). I just really notice my uneven eyebrows in photos so I was wondering if there was any surgery that could adjust them so they are a bit more even with each other. I know Botox is an option but wanted to know if there was something abit more permanent

Mild asymmetry between the brows is considered normal. There are methods to attempt to improve symmetry which involve direct incisions over the brow. It is recommended you have a formal consultation to discuss risks and benefits of different interventions.

Thank you for your question and photo. Though perfect symmetry is difficult to achieve, there are treatments available to improve eyebrow symmetry. If the brows appear asymmetric due to muscle tone differences, then a neuromodulator such as Botox or Dysport may provide improvement. 
If the asymmetric brows are caused by differences in the eye sockets, a one-centimeter brow lift can bring the eyebrows into balance. I recommend scheduling an in-person consultation with an experienced, board-certified facial plastic surgeon or injector. They will be able to answer any questions you may have and determine the best course of action to help you achieve your aesthetic goals.

The short answer to your question is yes.  You are also correct that the basis of the asymmetry you see is the facial skeleton, and definitive treatment would involve a fronto-orbital advancement.  This is a rather big surgery, and your hesitancy in regard to it is understandable.  A less aggressive approach to correct this asymmetry would be an endoscopic browlift to differentially lift the eyebrows and create greater symmetry in their position.  This procedure takes about 60 to 90 minutes to perform, and can be done under local anesthesia with intravenous sedation.  Additionally, you also have some moderate eyelid ptosis, which could be corrected at the same time with a ptosis repair of the upper eyelids.  This would open up your eyes and make you look less “sleepy”.

Hi and thanks for the question! It is common to have one eyebrow at a slightly different height from the other. In this case you can have a browlift to make the eyebrows more even with long-lasting results.
