Renuvion before or after a mini abdominoplasty?

We frequently perform renuvion to the upper abdomen when performing a mini abdominoplasty. It takes a few months for the skin tightening effect to fully take hold, but it can make a big difference when combined with a mini tuck.

If you are a good candidate for a mini tummy tuck you may not need Renuvion. The tummy tuck will remove excess subcutaneous fat and skin to give you a tighter, flatter tummy. You can do the Renuvion to the upper abdomen at the same time as the mini, or do the full abdomen first and do the mini tuck 6 months later.

Renuvion is the best NON-SURGICAL skin tightening procedure. Surgery can address all skin laxity. So if you are planning on getting an abdominoplasty, all skin laxity should be addressed at the time of the procedure. I always recommend that whatever skin needs to be removed and whatever muscles need to be repaired should be done instead of trying to do something with a "smaller incision" just because you may be scared of the incision. The amount of skin tightening that occurs with Renuvion is unpredictable as its result is related to age, genetics, skin quality, etc. (even though I think it is an amazing product and use it with all my high definition liposuction cases).
