I am 34 yo and my nasoliabial folds are bothering me. Are they too bad for my age? Are there any long term fillers that can be used on annual basis or something? Bellafil?
Answer: Be Wary Of Permanent Filler; They Can Turn Into Long-Lasting To Permanent Problems First, let me say that your smile lines are by no means unusual for your age. Nor are they particularly bad. The use of a cohesive, low viscosity HA filler can work just fine for elevating and smoothing them more. While the concept of permanent is certainly alluring, when it comes to the use of permanent fillers, it should be borne in mind that permanent fillers can translate into permanent adverse reactions that may occur immediately following treatment or even five, ten or twenty+years later, especially if there is manipulation of the treated area, such as during dental procedures. You would be wise to consult with a board certified cosmetic dermatologist. Best of luck.

Answer: Long term fillers Hi fillers have come a long way in the last 10 years. There are definitely products that can last a year or longer. There are also techniques that help amplify the results and longevity. My favorite way to make fillers last is to combine them with PRP or PRF. When your platelets come in contact with a filler, they become activated and release growth factors that build your own collagen around the filler scaffold. This is what we call a Vampire Facelift®. The volume is amplified and the results will last much longer. Depending on the type of filler, the results can last a year 12 -18 months or they can even be permanent. Bellafill® contains microscopic particles called PMMA, this is a permanent implant material that will stay in your body and act as a scaffold and continuously stimulate living collagen. If you use PRP with it the collagen stimulation is amplified. I have patients who are well over 5 years out and still have visible volume from the treatment. You can always add more to keep up with aging. Finally, don't forget to consider an autologous fat transfer. This is the ultimate treatment for long lasting volumization and skin rejuvenation.

Answer: Nasolabial Folds Hi there! There are definitely options for filler in the nasolabial folds. Many fillers are made of hyaluronic acid (HA) which is a substance present in your skin. HA fillers can be easily placed and last anywhere from 8-12 months on average. Good products for this location include Juvederm Vollure, Restalyne Refyne, and RHA 3, though may options exist. Other fillers like Sculptra can be used but you have to watch out for nodules. Fat transfer is a great option for results which last 5-10 years on average. The fat is harvested from around the belly button and is your own, natural filler. It's often smooth and can look very nice. Hope this helps!

Answer: Fillers for the Face Good Morning wishes02,I hope this message finds you well. From what I can gather your main concern is to do with premature ageing of your face - particularly the nasolabial folds region. I do see that they are pronounced even in a neutral position and I would say that can easily be corrected with Fillers. They would help you look more youthful without giving you an artificial look. Fillers do last for around a year mostly and sometimes for a couple of years as well. Although an image is a great starting point , I would recommend a video consultation / in person consultation with a board certified Aesthetic Plastic surgeon to take this forward and thoroughly answer your query. Answer: Reduce the appearance of nasolabial folds (NLF) Thank you for your great question about ways to minimize the appearance of nasolabial folds (NLF). It appears from your photo that you are spending most of your sleep time on your right side (presuming the photo was not taken in a mirror). If your sleep time were more balanced on each side of the face or if there was less pressure on the skin of cheeks while you were sleeping then the creation of deeper NLF could be slower. While there is some volume loss of the thickness of the skin that is towards the nose from the NLF, there is laxity and thickening of the tissues that are from the edge of the folds out towards the ear side. Commonly at your age we will put hyaluronic fillers such as a Restylane (e.g. R. Defyne, R. Refyne) or Juvederm family of fillers along and or across the folds in the subcutaneous tissues that are on the side that is towards the nose. This can help to level up the NLF drop off. One needs to understand the vascular anatomy of the area and carefully craft a nice result for a patient so that they look like a younger version of themselves. The art is not about simply injecting some filler. At some point there is usually enough skin laxity from time, gravity and accumulated sun damage so it may be helpful to do some kind of a face lift as well. I hope that helps. I suggest that you find someone who will listen to what you are thinking, who loves what they do and whose work you like.
