Hello, I'm interested in getting a BBL but I have hypertrophic cardiomyopathy and an implanted defibrillator. I was diagnosedAnd had the defibrillator implanted at 25, I am now 38. I have no symptoms from my HCM, I have never had an event requiring my defibrillator to deliver shock therapy and am otherwise very healthy. I have had other major, elective surgeries since my diagnosis without any problem. Will this prevent me from having a BBL though?

Many plastic surgeons will probably choose not to operate based on your history.
Plastic surgeons, who would consider doing surgery will for sure require cardiology clearance.
I suggest you start by talking to your cardiologist to see if they will give you clearance.
Not everybody seeking a BBL is a good candidate for the procedure.
Before considering taking on surgery that may have underlying risk you should also confirm that you are a candidate.
Taking unnecessary risk is not justified unless the procedure is going to have a major positive impact and that’s not the case for everybody who wants to have this procedure.
